The website hosts them, but the file size limit is pretty low.

Actually, the max size is fine.. Like a fool I was trying to upload the .tiff's, which don't have any compression. Just save your pics as .jpg's and turn down the save quality some, it fits. (maybe upping it to 160k would be a good idea though)

Is there a freeware program to convert TGA to jpeg? all i found were shareware with too many pop-ups or added a tag to the file.

i use irfan, then just open the SS image and do a 'save as' with the .jpg extension

Im not really sure, Ive always used Fireworks. You can get a 30 day trial if you want.

I went to www.download.com and search for "image compressor" and came up with a few apps. Maybe you can check some of them out.

I use the GIMP ( source code available at , Windows DL available at and the Mac OS X version available at ).

So far it's basically a freeware knockoff of PhotoShop, works for PC, Linux/Unix, and Mac OS X. As for how it is, basically its one of the best pieces of freeware on my comp atm (as currently I'm still a newb to freeware).
