I thought I read awhile back that they were doing away with spellpower itemization all together and granting spellpower through intellect. But I just saw some iLvl 333 weapons with 1500+ spellpower on them. I guess they changed their mind, or I was misinformed?

spellpower will remain on weapons, but armor will not have any, don't try and understand what blizzard is trying to do

They are trying to make it so weapons are as big an upgrade for casters as they are for melee.
