I really think that they are doing that so we can go and fill up empty servers (especially mountain and pacific ones) they've said many times that they were taking server downs and that pacific/mountain server we're still up, this is my idealogy of those waitlines, I really don't think that Blizzard couldn't handle awesome servers with the money they have, just look at all the games they sold :\

Yeah but a LOT of money has been poured into this game... and they're developing Starcraft: Ghost still.... Frozen Throne was over a year ago and they still run free b.net... so I wouldn't say they have a lot of money, it's possible though. But yeah, I agree that they're using queues in part to persuade people onto the newer, emptier servers. But also the queues are because everyone is just starting and if you had thousands of kids logged into one server all at lvl 1 it would be utter chaos. Even IF, and that's a big if, the server could handle so many, it would be absolute chaos in that there wouldn't be enough spawns, everyone would be doing the same quests, etc. This way queues allow for a slow trickle of people to enter the realm. I think it sucks, but it's definitely better than the alternatives, imo

Oh, Blizzard has money. The queus are just a bad way for them to even the server populations out. If they put more effort into this before the launch, server queus could have been avoided and they could have effectivily dealt with this problem.
