So I got a call the other day from my local NPR station and they want to interview me for a show on video games and MMORPG's in particular. For those of you who don't know how NPR works, it's kind of like a subscription service. People get a charter from NPR then start a local station and subscribe to shows from other stations. Each local station usually has a few shows they produce themselves as well. Things like Car Talk and Prarie Home Companion are produced by their local stations (boston and minneapolis respectively) and then sold to other stations. I am a contributor to one of the programs on my local NPR station (WNAN). I am a movie reviewer and the only entertainment correspondant at the station. Anyway I was talking to the woman who hosts the show about games and she mentioned she might be planning to do a show on MMORPG's. She's trying to get a guy who used to work for Sid Meier and a sociology professor from UMASS on the show. Won't be for a couple of months, but I'll keep you all informed. |

That would be pretty neat. I listen to NPR most of the time but from what you are saying it sounds like my station won't get that broadcast seeing as how I'm not from your area? Any chance you could record it or host the recording online? I'd be interested in hearing it. |

Make sure when you are on the show to mention we lead the alliance on skullcrusher server. Just joking, but it would be funny if you plugged immortality somehow |
