Yeah Griff the have said that in the past, but that was when complaining about shards had only begun. Shards were never a huge problem, more of an annoyance at earlier levels, it was when everyone hit 60 and started flooding the Warlock forums with threads about shards that Blizzard had to change their position on shards. It's too bad it's taken this long for something to be done, but I'm both surprised and pleased that through all of the complaints and threads something is finally being done. Shards and end game pets have always been huge topics and to finally see them get changed is awesome.

I couldnt agree more drmike3y.

Thinkg is they have said that they are going to fix the pets since atm they are useless.

But unfortunately for the shards I have yet to see a post stating that "the dev team is considering the removal of them" since it is a class defining thing according to Blizz.
They have said and keep saying that they are thinking of the "shard bag", or maybe removing them from some spells, or even having a chance depending of the lvl of the char, of NOT to spend a shard when you cast shadowburn for example. ( they said that a lvl 60 lock, will have around an 80% chance not to use a shard ).

I wish they get rid of them, since I will have 2 more 16 slot bags full, and stop farming them like a mofo, but I am not THAT optimistic atm.

Griff... do you even read the wow forums? There is a sticky right there that says... and i quote it ONCE AGAIN!
