+ 30 spell power enchant = +187 spell damage for shammys, priests, and druids from three items and Blizz was smart enough to make the dps crap so the shammys and pallys won't want it. Thank god they finally came up with some caster druid dps gear. So who wants a wrath for 500+ every 1.5 seconds in their mouth? |

Godly for any caster. Lets be clear. In any case where +damage and +healing are equal. +damage is more important. There is a reason why +30 spell power and +55 healing enchants are valued the same. This is of course assuming in such a case where there is a +healing item. For the mace/staff for instance. There is only the +84 damage/healing. There is no alterative +120 healing staff that would be the equal for a healer to the +84 damage of the staff. Again we do have the mace. So going for the staff would be kindof silly for a preist/druid. Trying to argue the +damage AND healing for the tear is silly when there is a better +healing trinket out there. Sure I nuke enough to make use of the +damage... But really.. im blind to who would use it more. Nelth's tear is pve. +to hit and stable +damage is perfect for pve and raids. The "im going to use it in a raid" arguement stands. In comparision, talisman of emph, for instance... is pvp. Argueing it for pve raids is dumb. Very dumb. over the cooldown the +damage it represents in terms of dps value is +31. Grats, its a briarwood reed, that gives you burst dps/aggro. |

And just fyi. A balance druids dps is easily equal to a mages, when geared well. 1.8 will allow greater burst dps very likely. Druids are being pushed to crit chance. This is noticable in the moving of vengance to allow all druid builds to get teh 100% damage on crits. A large amount of druid leather with no +damage, but tons of crit%. Think 16% from gear. 3% from moonkin, 6% from int/passive crit%. A good 25%+ on wrath/starfire and 35%+ on moonfire. Then factor in natures grace.. .5 seconds faster cast after a crit. 1 second wrath, 2.5s starfires after crits.' The dps a balance druid will achieve in 1.8 will be remarkable. The weakness is mana reserves. 500dps for 30 seconds, then your done.. |
