Feint reduces the aggro you currently have, by an Amount i dont know off my head.

Since The most simplest form of showing Aggro is a Queue, Whereas a Mob attacks ther person at the tip of Said queue, your Aggro, as you well know i bet, Sticks with you For the duration of a fight. Feint would most likely work by cutting a flat amount off the Aggro you've generated sofar. IE: 3 Backstabs lands you 1000 hate. you Feint, Cutting that Aggro by the arbitrary Number 450, Leaving you at 650.

Some people have suggested, however, that Feint resets your Aggro, hence our nifty ability to do a damn good job controlling it. Dont know if i believe that, since ive spammed Feint exclusively on Vael once and ended up Targeted before the healers. :(

As for the 40%, it could have been brought up as the maximum attainable Threat reduction sofar. In Guns's post, Its mentioned that warlocks can go 30%-20%-20%, which would be:

1000x30% = 700
700x20% = 560
560x20% = 448 left.

IE: if a Priest can Ge tto 44.5%, and a Lock can get to 44.8%, and say class X can only get to 51.3%, then the Brain naturally defines a border at which values cannot exceed. 44% is the logical, but us humans naturally add in some buffer as balence, so i betcha 40% was chosen. It seems to be a good number. ^^

Feint removes threat equivalent to a little over 600 damage at rank 4, if I remember right.. it's definitely not an aggro clear.

I think Dramlor was being sarcastic though :wink:
