Some icons are squished, streched and overall kind of ugly, why is this better than the last portal (is it becaues of phpbb3?)

PNG images look fine on other portals except this one. Hell even pngs were displayed fine on the old portal!

Avatars left side are horrible and the overall looks is kind of ugly, what happeneed to the other template you were using on beta.immortalityguild.com

It's ok. Very distorted for me, but I use a tv. The old layout I had less visual issues with. This one chops off the right side of screen, right at where the "Y" is in Immortality.

I dunno about any of that Computer Mumbo Jumbo but I looks good and works well, A-ok for me.

As for the boredom.... Well Bigjoan needs member status. I need to read (not post) the member forums for my own entertainment. Not really worth heading over to the site if you have 1-2 posts in public and 1 Hunter in greens applying, I just go look at CNN and or Porn instead.
