We have all gotten what we have been patiently waiting for. After months of staring at the same brainless rock giants deep within the core, we travel to the top of Blackrock Mountain to take on a whole different type of enemy: dragons, dragonkins, and crazy dynamite throwing goblins, what else can we ask for? After spending a straight 12 hours in Blackwing Lair last night, countless deaths, and an unbelievable total repair cost, Immortality is proud that our hard work has paid off leaving us only 2 bosses away from fighting Blackwing himself! Flamegor and Chromaggus are ahead of us, but expect Flamegor to be downed tonight. Chromaggus on the other hand is another story since we have not yet engaged him and are completely unaware of his abilities, but flamegor is just a watered down version of Firemaw and the only reason he lived last night is because it was pushing 5 am when we cleared to him. Master Elemental Shaper Krixxix was a complete pushover. The only reason his portrait is up there next to the other bosses is because we thought he deserved some publicity for looking so cool when he dies, check below to see his goofy sprawled out death animation. We've been collecting a lot of elementium ore, and luckily we have both bindings of the windseeker, so were mere inches away from completing the long Thunderean quest, its a damn good thing too because Wray is getting ancy for his legendary. All in all last night was a blast, learning the encounters was 80% of the fun, collecting the new loot was probably the rest. We stumbled upon a never before seen axe on Firemaw's corpse, and a nice rogue cape that nobody bothered taking a screenshot of, because why bother with a cape when you have this sick axe: |

Great post Guns! I was there last night for the Firemaw kill and the unbelievable teamwork and execution made me proud to be a part of Immo. Like with any new encounter, countless deaths and excessive repair costs are expected, but none of this discouraged anyone in the raid. With each progressive attempt, 72%, 68%, 48%, etc, everyone was only itching for the next try at one step closer to downing him until we finally succeeded. I didn't get a screenshot of the cape that Firemaw dropped either, but if I remember correctly, it was: Cape of the Firemaw 57 or so Armor +12 stamina +50 attack power Grats to Archaen for getting it! |
