Details:
Date: Sunday, April 17th, 2005
Time: 7:00 EST
Summary:
The great race is an event being run by me (Arathil) for fun and amusement. A raid group of 40 players will start in the Night Elf Starting land of Teldrassil. The objective is to be the first player to reach Booty Bay. Requirements are as follows.
You
Must Be Level 1.
You
Must Be Night Elf.
You
Must Be in the raid group.
The event will start at 7:00 EST Sharp.
Registration is required prior to the event, along with 5 Gold Pieces to go towards the prize.
You may be any class you wish.
You may use any items from other characters you control.
Remember, you must be Level 1 at the start of the event.
To make this fair and interesting, there are a few [glow=red]special[/glow] rules.
You may not swim down the coast into Westfall.
You may not use the Ironforge Tram to Stormwind.
Instead..
You must go through Loch Modan to the Badlands.
Use the pass behind Kargath
Run through the Searing Gorge, Through Blackrock Mountain, and into The Burning Steppes.
Through Burning Steppes, into Redridge.
After that, you may use any means necessary to get to Booty Bay as quickly as you can.
The first three players to open a trade window with me win!
Prizes will be as follows (Assuming a perfect raid of 39 people.)
[glow=red]1st Place[/glow] - 100 Gold and 2 Guardian Stones.
[shadow=red]2nd Place[/shadow] 60 Gold and 2 Large Brilliant Shards.
3rd Place - 40 Gold.
If fewer players show up, then I will balance the prizes as is needed.
Cheaters will promptly be disqualified, and their entry fee unreturned.
With the use of a mod, I will be able to see everyone in the raid, and where they are. Don't try to cheat. I will catch you.
Be ready for horde interference. Horde are fair game to kill who they wish. Evade them or outwit them.
Expect to die. Alot. Dying will not be the end, as its almost a certainty that everyone is going to be dying alot in their run. Use other player's deaths to your advantage as you navigate mobs.
- You do not need to be from Immortality to play, but we're not going to invite complete asshats either.
