Throwaway idea (just Victoria) I thought I'd show you before I deleted:

Obviously verticle images are bad for sigs and this one lost too much detail when reduced to a size feasible for a signature. The idea was sort of "let your enemies know your face before they perish."

This picture is 3 of the same and an extra mask image. I took a screenshot, paused of course, with no helm, one with helm and one with just gloves. Bottom layer was no helm and cut out the extra overlapping hair. Middle layer was with helm and cut out the face mask. The next layer would be the additional mask image. The final was nothing but her left hand.

Don't worry the sig to shame all other sigs is still in the works.

Maybe i'm not PS savvy but... wouldn't it have been easier and with the same effect if you just made 2 layers. 1 with full gear, 2nd with cut out face?

The Gimp is a good free alternative to PS. I use it alot considering that I am running full linux now. Finally got WoW to work under linux so Im converting fully.
