Once I obtained neutral faction with the Brood of Nozdrumu, I was sent out to retrieve 3 different shards to recreate the scepter. Here is a summary of what happened along the way. Screenshots soon.
[glow=green]The Green Scepter Shard:[/glow]
Advised to seek out Eranikus, we head to the sunken temple. Upon reaching Eranikus’s lair, Malfurion morphs in and tells us to seek out his agent wisp outside the walls of Darnassus. We head there, speak to the wisp, and are told to Talk to Keeper Remulos in Moonglade. Keeper Remulos explains that Eranikus is corrupted, and is trapped inside the Corrupted Dreams where the Old Gods are controlling him. To draw Eranikus out of the corrupted dream, we must present him Malfuruan which Eranikus is destined to destroy. To do this we are sent to retrieve 4 dream fragments from the different portals around the world. They are off the trash dragonkin that patrol nearby the portals. We head to duskwood first and come across a twilight corruptor, a interesting raid boss who we take down after a couple tries and pull one of the fragments off his corpse. We then farmed the other 3 fragments from Ashenvale, Feralas, and Hinterlands.
After all 4 fragments were collected, we returned to Keeper Remulos in moonglade. He then uses the fragments to draw Eranikus out of the Corrupted Dream. Eranikus enters our world and hovers above the lake near Moonglade, screaming to Remulos to show him where Malfurion is. Eranikus is accompanied by Nightmare minions, who start to invade the Moonglade. It was our goal to keep Keeper Remulos alive until Tyrande and her Sentinels arrived to the Moonglade. Once all the minions were dead, Eranikus lands, and start to work on bringing him down. Midway through the fight, Tyrdane shows up and heals the army, and once Eranikus reached 20%, he despawned and said its not his time, just kidding, but at 20% Tyrande channels her powers of Elune and cleanses Eranikus. Eranikus in dragonform falls to the ground and turns into his night-elf form, where he apologizes for the torment he has caused this world. He hands us the Green Scepter Shard.
[glow=blue]The Blue Scepter Shard:[/glow]
Told to seek out Azuergos, I head to azshara and find him wandering around. I find out that Azuergos has been getting tired of holding onto the shard because of all the people that attack him trying to recover it, so he decided to put it into the sea by giving the shard to a “minnow.” He then tells me that I must create an arcanite buoy that will summon the minnow. He gives me the schematic to make it, but it is in draconic and starts a quest that leads me to Narain Soothfancy in Tanaris. I head to tanaris and talk to Narain, who says he can translate but requires 3 different things, which lead to 3 different quest lines:
500 lb chicken: I’m sent to Dirge Quickcleave in Gadgetzan, who sends me to the Isle of Dread to farm some chimerok tenderloins and to kill Lord Lakmaeran to get his carcass. Once this is done I’m rewarded with a 500 lb chicken and a recipe to make 25 stamina food.
Scrying Goggles: Narain says that before he can do any work, he needs his goggles. He last entrusted them with his ex best friend forever Stewvul, who he no longer talks to. Stewvul is either hiding out in the outlands, or near the Greymane wall Silverpine Forest. So off to the wall I go, where I find Stewvul hiding in a crate. He says he last had the goggles while strolling in Molten Core. We did Molten Core later that night, and retrieved the goggles off a trash mob.
Draconic for Dummies Book: Before Narain can begin to translate the schematic, he needs his Draconic for Dummies book, which he says is buried on an island way south of fatigue water in Tanaris. When I get to the island, I find a ransom letter instead. Taking back this ransom letter to Narain, I am given a disguise kit (to look like Narain) a bag of rocks (fake ransom gold.) and a map to the drop off point. The drop off point is in Winterspring, on a cliff that overlooks Azshara. We get there, I put on the disguise and set down the fake ransom, and in flies Dr. Weavel on his flying machine. He quickly notices that it’s a trap, flys off and sends “Number Two” to kill us. We kill it, which humorously is a big ape, and return to Narain in Tanaris. He explains to us that Dr. Weavel is pretty pissed off about our trick and decided to tear up the Draconic for Dummies book and throw the pages all over the world. He then tells us that Dr. Weavel is hiding out in Alcaz island in Dustwallow Marsh. I take about 20 people with me and easily kill him, he drops the first chapter to Draconic for Dummies and his diary, which states where he spread the remaining chapters out. One is in Darkwhisper Gorge, one is in the Blasted Lands, one is in Onyxias Lair, one is in the Molten Core, one is in Blackwing Lair, one in Stormwind, and one in the Undercity. After all these chapters are collected, I return to Narain who will put the Arcanite Buoy together, which include materials of 20 arcanite bars, 10 elementium ore, and other Gems.
Once I had the buoy, a raid of us head out to the Bay of Storms and place it in the Maelstorm, where “Maws” the minnow is summoned. We fight maws, and despite being a 100 foot shark of death and destruction, we collect the Blue Scepter Shard off his corpse and return it to Anachronos.
[glow=red]The Red Scepter Shard:[/glow]
We sought out Vaelastasz in Blackwing Lair. He tells me that Nefarian bullied him and stole the Red Scepter Shard, and has plans to destroy it within 5 hours! We must clear Blackwing Lair, and retrieve the shard before Nefarian destroys it. The speed clear starts, and we end up finishing with plenty of time left over. Off to tanaris we go to turn in the final scepter shard to Anachronos.
With the 3 shards we have turned into Anachronos, he uses his shard that he was holding onto and recreates the scepter of the shifting sand. He hands it over to me and says that once the Alliance and Horde forces are ready to siege war against C’thun, that I must open the gates.
